Tremont Music Hall
Tremont Music Hall is one of Charlotte's flagship rock venues. It features two stages and caters to both national and local bands. Among the clubs in Charlotte, Tremont Music Hall offers a more accessible atmosphere than its competitors, Amos' and The Fillmore.
Opened in 1995, the owners wanted to fill the need for a suitable venue for both national and local acts. The venue has enjoyed massive success. They've played host to many internationally recognized acts. A complete list of bands can be found on the Tremont Music Hall Website, some of the most notable names include David Allen Coe, Iggy Pop, GWAR, Henry Rollins, and Dinosaur Jr.
Today, Tremont Music Hall stands as one of the most welcoming venues in Charlotte and North Carolina. Tremont is one of the dominant names in the Rock, Metal, and Punk music scenes. To support local music, Tremont Music Hall offers several events. Every fall, Tremont hosts the Punk Rock Panic in which 10-12 local punk bands play and admission is only $7. They also host monthly "battle of the bands" competitions in which bands compete for cash prizes as well as recording studio time.
