Charlotte Symphony Orchestra Tenth Anniversary Program, 1931-1941, cover and eight interior pages. The program lists members of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra Society Inc. There is a full page photograph or painting of the founder and director of the symphony, Guillermo S. de Roxlo. There is an introduction titled The Place of the Orchestra by J. Spencer Bell which discusses the pros and cons of being an amateur orchestra. Lenoir Wright writes about The Work of the Orchestra and sums up music which the orchestra has played during its first ten years in existance. The center fold is a photograph of the orchestra on a stage. This would have most likely been Piedmont Junior High School. Musicians names are listed below the photograph. Other pages include photographs of the audience, rehearsals and local advertisements.
