Picture postcard described as "Block showing Y.M.C.A. and Trust Building, Charlotte N.C." The scene shows the west side of South Tryon Street between Third Street and Fourth Street looking south. Urban buildings give way at the end of the block to low rise residences. The brownstone Y.M.C.A. building with its decorative turret and tower is in the center of the photograph. Two doors south is the Trust Building with its elaborate Mansard roof design. This building housed the Academy of Music.
