Description
Photograph of Charlotte's first Y.M.C.A. building which was built on South Tryon Street between Third Street and Fourth Street in 1888. The auditorium was in the rear of the building and was known as Association Hall. On close examination you can see the words Young Men's Christian Association carved into the stone blocks below the top row of windows. Many choral groups performed concerts in this building.
